Students: How do I register for classes?

To Register for Classes Winona Campus undergraduate process:

- Have your PIN from your Advisor. Also be sure there are no holds on your account in the Business Office.


 

 

Login to Webtools at the time your registration period begins (opens) 

Click "Course Registration".

Select the correct Term and Location (Ex. I Sem 2011-2012 Winona = 1st Semester 2011 in Winona) or Term ID would be 2011W1

Click "Register".

Enter your Advisor PIN.

Note: there are several ways to Add Classes.

If you know the Course ID already, Click "Fast ADD Elections". Type in the course IDs (E120A, for example. It MUST HAVE the section letter) separated by a comma (no spaces)

Click Submit.

Another option is to "List Eligible Sections". This link shows all the available courses for that semester. Find the course you want and click "Add".

Or, if you want to look for a specific course but don't know the ID, click "Search to Add Elections". This will allow you to enter any information you currently know (you don't need to fill in every space) and search for a course. Click "Add".

Once you have all your courses added, click "Check for Problems" to make sure the scheduling and pre-requirements are in line. Anything in Red means there is a conflict or a hold.

Once this is in order click "REGISTER Your Elections" to actually register for those classes. Your registered classes will appear at the top. If you need to drop a class, click "DROP" next to the course name.

Be sure there are no holds on your account in the Business Office.

Click "Register".  If prompted for an advisor PIN please contact Student Services on the MPLS campus for assistance

Another option is to "List Eligible Sections". This link shows all the available courses for that semester. Find the course you want and click "Add". Several courses may be available and not listed if within another School. Pleaes contact your Program coordinator or the MPLS Registrar's office to have this corrected

 

If you want to look for a specific course but don't know the ID, click "Search to Add Elections". This will allow you to enter any information you currently know (you don't need to fill in every space) and search for a course. Click "Add" when you find the desired course.

 

 

Once you have all your courses added, click "Check for Problems" to make sure the scheduling and pre-requirements are in line. Anything in Red means there is a conflict or a hold. Please read the message as it will tell you what is in conflict. Academic issues please direct to your Program, Financial issues please contact Student Services or the Business Office.

 

Once you have your elections completed, click "REGISTER Your Elections" to pre-register for those classes. Your registered classes will appear at the top. If you need to drop a class, click "DROP" next to the course name. For MPLS classes, Drop will be removed after the first scheduled class session starts.
