Beginning September 2024, logging into the SMUMN network will require FortiClient VPN. The laptop issued to you by the University should already have FortiClient installed. To verify that you have FortiClient installed, look at the bottom right of your screen for the icon shown below. You may have to click on the up arrow to expand your task tray and show all icons.

Double click on the FortiClient icon to show the login screen.

Enter your University username and password. You will be prompted to allow this login by the Duo app on your phone.

When connected, the FortiClient application will minimize. The FortiClient icon will change to an icon with a lock on it when connected to the VPN.
